Ted Williams and His Golden Voice: Thug Murker of the Week

As you all know, I’m a thug. I make babies cry by mean mugging them. I punch teddy bears just because. However, there are certain things that grab my attention and render my thug obsolete. Some stuff makes my thug pick up its’ luggage and go on vacation. These are things that sometimes make my eye allergies act up. So I introduce you to my new series: “Thug Murker of the Week.” These will be such things.

The first one is Ted Williams. Have you heard about him? Wells, he’s a homeless dude who stands on the corner and begs for change. A reporter from the Columbia Dispatch was driving earlier this week when he saw Ted begging for money on the corner with a sign that said he had a “golden radio voice.” The reporter stopped to talked to him and he showed it off. Watch below.

His voice is AMAZEBALLS!!! OMG! It’s like touched by the nectar of the Gods and coated with unicorn tears. WOWWWWW!!! I don’t even listen to the radio, but let that voice be on it all the time and I just may.

Now, he’s been sent tons of job offers, including one from the Cleveland Cavaliers, MSNBC and everything. He even had companies offering him houses, trips and all’at good stuff. Aaaawwwww!!! So Ted’s gifted voice has gotten him off the streets and has led to him reconciling with his mother, who he hadn’t seen in 20 years because of his substance abuse problems.

Even after all the job offers and everything, he couldn’t travel the first day because he had no ID card. He had to go to court to get his birth certificate and everything. And now, he has done interviews everywhere. He’s cut his hair and he’s looking sharp. Folks even said he lowkey looks like President Obama.

Anywho, watch this interview that Ted did with the CBS Early Show.

I just…

*thug begins to wade in the water*

This is just so BEAUTIFUL! I love stuff like this. Life is giving Ted a second chance, and it looks like he’s taking it and running with it.

I’m all verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. Topic: Why must I be so touched by this? Discuss.

Have y’all seen this? Whatcha think? Isn’t his voice made of awesome and win?

I agree…my thug has been rendered obsolete by this story as well LOL! Very happy for him. I just hope people don’t forget about the rest of the homeless who didn’t have the opportunity to be Internet sensations.

I don’t think Antoine is going anywhere soon. People were amazed he switched his hair color, so yeah. Sad times I know..

But congrats to the guy! I know he’s going to get some $$ thrown his way

Aww, him do kinda look like Prez. It makes my heart heavy. Especially when he talks about hearing from his mom. And when he says, “to have a job and a home, and a PLACE TO COOK IN”…I died a bit more and called myself lazy and ungrateful in like three languages.

*sob* Every time one of these stories break, a rancid broad gets a GED. Does the world good.

    • January 7, 2011 at 8:40 am

“to have a job and a home, and a PLACE TO COOK IN” <<This right here…I…lawd…a place to cook in…I'm just done.

I think if Mr. William’s story doesn’t murk your thug, then you just ain’t bout isht. You got that lil’ jacked up heart that the Grinch had. You ain’t isht, ain’t never been isht, ain’t never gone be isht!

I wish him the best in life, I hope he is able to connect with someone he can trust to help him with this stardom so he doesn’t get overwhelmed. Go Ted Obama…I mean Ted Williams! *tell me he ain’t lookin’ like the Presidents half brother…*

I saw this story in the NY Daily News yesterday. A welcome change from the violence and celeb entertainment bull nonsense that is normally published. Its nice that this gentleman can get another chance at life. And there are many more that are deserving as well.

There is always #1 dream killer in a room. People make mistakes and learn from them. He has lived to see a better day… I’m sure that means they too will see that better day. Go find a heart and a hug dear, sir.
