My Life

I’m So Thankful. Lemme Tell You Why

On this Thanksgiving Day, I am so thankful because I am blessed in so many ways, and I give God all the credit.

I’d like to give glory to God for another year where no one calls me “Mom.” His grace and mercies have my ultimate gratitude for this. SHOULDACOMEINAHYUNDAI!

Jesus is the homie for giving me a roof over my head and seats to occupy when I act a complete fool. Glory to His name.

thankful

I praise our Lord for always making sure that I have all the rice I need to appease my soul. All those bowls, and I’m never short! ELOHIM LOOKS OUT!

Praises to the Most Highest for me not having to wear KSwiss shoes and House of Dereon. I wake up in the morning that Crocs aren’t in my closet vocabulary. YES LAWD!

Glory be to our Father that my teeth haven’t crumbled out my mouth and I wake up everyday with no problems. He Who Provides Good Health for Bloggers with No Health Insurance is the Greatest.

GIVING ALLA PRAISE to God for people who are forced to love us, and can only shake their heads at our antics. Especially when you nickname your nephew “Pants.” (._. ) And in spite of us losing our matriarch, we stand tall. Thanks for holding our hands through it, God. 🙂

Halleluyah for those in our lives because they want to be there. The ones who tell me I have no sense (because I don’t), but still pick up my phonecalls. They also enable my couthlessness. Oh friends… Jesus loves them.

This is all to say that I’m grateful for family, friends, love, life, a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes on my back, shoes on my feet, and good health. For this alone, I am rich. I am not cash rich (by any means. Claiming this for 2012. COME ON, UNIVERSE!), but I’m wealthy in blessings. And I’m SO thankful for it.

Oh AND I’m thankful for this space. And all the people who take the time to read my words. May all your shoes never lean to the side. This, I pray!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, FOLKS!!!

What are you thankful for?

First – the speaking in tongues thing at the end – if I wasn’t laughing so hard I would want to fight you! That is the funniest ish I have heard today!

Second – I am forever grateful and thankful that I was able to find a job last week and start working this week. No more being depressed and wanting to kick out the TV every time some happy-assed commercial for shopping at TJ Maxx or any of my other favorite stores came on. I can pay bills and enjoy the holidays a little bit!

Third – Thank 6lb. 5oz. Baby Jesus I married my best friend this past October. He is everything I prayed for and then some, so I know the Big Guy upstairs answers prayers.

Fourth – Thank God for overall health, happiness, security, and love. Also, I have not lost any of my loved ones this year. I pray for them and hope to see them all in the New Year!

Finally – I am thankful I have found Luvvie’s blog. It has given me life in a big way! I will hoist some Kahlua-spiked egg nog just for you!
