When I say this book gave me life, hunty I mean it gave me LIFE!!!! You said everything I’ve ever wanted to say and then some.

When I started the book, I was literally cackling as you talked about horrible friends and bad relationships. Then I got to the section that went into racism and rape culture and I cried. Don’t even get me started on the Feminism Olympics—–CHILE—–.

Thank you for this book. Thank you for sharing your gift with us all. Thank you for saying the things that need to be said.

Thank you for being Awesomely Luvvie.

PS. And Thank you for sharing your name with us 🙂

Luvvie, I have the desire to clown, joke and say all kinds of funny things. But I’m not. Because you need to know something straight up…

I pre-ordered my I’m Judging You book back in July. It came on Friday. And, seriously, I couldn’t put it down. I do blame you for the latte stains on it but I shouldn’t have been drinking while reading anyhoo, so technically that’s my fault. :o)

While I laughed my AZZ off (#Carlos #Zamunda #TooManyHashtags #Chapter14), there were unexpected parts where I read with tears of gratitude streaming down my face. You expressed – ELOQUENTLY – what so many of us wish ‘others’ would understand about privilege, racism, rape culture, religion and more, and their daily effect on people of color. I am genuinely GRATEFUL to have read your book and I bless God (#HAYSOOS) for inspiring you to write it. This world needs it!

    Much love!

Hi Luuvie, I only discovered your blog less than one week ago when I heard you on CBC radio in Canada. I am pleased to know you followed your dreams and accomplished some of your goals. As a Caribbean woman who moved to Canada at the age of ten, it is rare to hear a black woman’s voice on the CBC radio. And it is even more rare to hear an African woman talk about her success. I immediately identified with your experience moving of to a first world country, where your are being perceived within the limited intersections of race/class/gender/outsider from what is now politely called lesser developed nation.
Just know that I am secretly cheering you on from this corner.

    Walk good.
