My Life

I Might Try Yoga. Yes, Really.

I gotta admit that I’m overworked. I’m sure a lot of us are. For someone who’s supposedly FUNemployed, I stay mighty busy. With my clients and Red Pump work. I find myself working through most weekends. My sleeping schedule is MURKED! I’m the one going to bed when everyone else is waking up. My circadian rhythms have been dropkicked through the goalposts of life. Sometimes I find myself so tense that my shoulders are by my ears on some cartoonish stuff.

Yoga Luvvie

Anywho, my girls Julia, Renisha and Adria suggested that I try yoga. They said it’ll connect my mind and soul and sooth them. I’ve always considered it too. I’m not a fan of exercising (yes I’m one of those). BUT I have really considered yoga. I might take them up on the offer.

I came across this video and iCackled.

ROTFLMAO! “Ooooooooooo-praaahhhh” Why am I really about to use this as a guide? “Yoga for Black People” is genius. LMAO at the ending credits saying “Special Thanks. Black people.” Hehehe

Anyone else do yoga? What do I need to know? Tell a Luvv!

I did Yoga for about 6 months, and yes, its a helluva workout. And it will calm you down. If you have FITtv (or whatever the fitness channel is), try that. My advice: get a good mat, bring plenty of water, a good towel, and remember to breathe. It is a lot of work, but a lot of fun. It does calm you down. It will be worth it.

I like certain kinds of yoga. Tried hot yoga once (yoga in a 100-degree room)…NEVER again, but some people like it. They say it’s cleansing….

Hot yoga sounds like a hot mess and the death of my relaxer. No ma’am!

Definitely try yoga. I think you’ll like it. I suggest trying different studios, teachers and styles to see what resonates with you. As you know, I teach/practice yoga and have seen the benefits on both sides. I definitely know that your post-yoga commentary would be pure hilarity. So you have my support on that on multiple levels.
