What We Wore to the Uptown Magazine Pordee

The Saturday before the Academy Awards was full of events, and Afrobella & I went to the Uptown Magazine party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the movie Boomerang. We realized it’d be pretty swanky so we needed to look goodt! We got a glam squad together, sponsored by Avon, and they made us look like we belong on the Hollywood scene.

My hair was done by the hair whisperer and my friend Felicia Leatherwood of Loving Your Hair With Natural Care Workshop. Makeup was by the sweet and talented makeup artist, Nicole Evans, and we were filmed and photoged by the amazing Krystle Rowry of “Kriss Did It.” Check out the vid of us getting ready below, sponsored by AVON. And music by Kirby Lauryen (ain’t she dope?).

This ain’t no fashion blog but I don’t get this fancy often so I’ma tell you what I wore to the pordee. I stepped out a little bit.

My dress is Tracy Reese, provided by Isn’t it adorabo? Thanks a bunches to them and Jessy of La Rue PR for getting this for me. My shoes are Rachel Roy wedges. That heel is what made me go NUTS for them. And my clutch is by MOTO Collection.

And Patrice stepped out too.

You all look smashing! I love Tracy Reese. She’s a talented sister. I wore one of her dresses for my birthday last year. Great accessories as well.
