Disney’s Monsters University is Totally Awesome
Disney first released Monsters Inc. in 2001 and folks LOVED it. I know I sure did. Boo was adorabo and Mike and Sulley stole our hearts. Now they’re coming out with a sequel to it called Monsters University (and they’re re-releasing the original in 3D).
To commemorate this release, the folks over there created a Monsters University website. It’s fully-functional and super comprehensive. The site looks better than some REAL university sites. Monsters University is where Mike and Sully went so we’ll get to see their lives as students there.
The MU site is laid out just like you’d expect any other university’s. They got admissions, campus life, academics and even a store! The store’s awesome too because they got sold-out t-shirts and sweatshirts for 4-armed creatures. And the rest of us 2-armed folks can buy one of the regular tees (and I’d totally rock one). Disney is adept in taking all our monies.
Every university needs a good student on the quad pic and they surely have one.
There’s so much hilarity throughout the site. Like in the “campus safety section.”
“Wednesday, 11:21pm – Students accused of “continually” lifting and transporting narcoleptic roommate to different areas of campus while asleep — and leaving him with only minimal amounts of clothing.”

And the school history is comprehensive, talmbout how they were founded in 1313. I love their attention to detail. The school’s president is Victoria Gross, and teachers are named stuff like Dr. Tawny Van der Slime and Dr. Rufus Oozeman. There’s a School of Scaring and School of Liberal Arts & Monstrosities.
They even have Greek life. These are the fraternities and sororities:

Seriously. Disney wins at things continuously and I’m always here for it. This Monsters University site is everything and it made my day. Because I’m so easily amused. I’m getting my whole LIFE from this site! Kudos to the team behind it because this is brilliant work. They get ALLA props!
Am I the only one who lowkey wants to go to this school? I mean, if they’re taking non-monsters, I’d be so down. Too bad they’re not taking applications. O___O
If you went to Monsters University, what Greek org would you pledge? I’d like to pledge Slugma Kapa Theta.
It is time to write that book. Come into The Book Academy and learn how to go from IDEA to INK.

My Disney/Pixar stan self SQUEALED when I saw this the other day. It is pure genius. Pixar always has a knack for paying attention to the little details and this puts that to a whole ‘nother level. Great marketing device! Makes it fun for us.

This is…I JUST LOVE IT!
This website just gave me life this morning. This movie came out on video my sophomore year in college, and my and my best friend/roomie were obsessed with this movie. We watched it over and over, memorizing lines, everything. The fact that there is a college website brought back so many good memories.
I saw this website the other day. It is so DAMB cute! Made me want to go to college all over again. I think I would do well in Biology/Monstrology… 😀
