The Cast of Lion King Australia Sing “Circle of Life” on a Plane and I Love It!

Y’all know how much I (and everyone else) loves the Lion King. 20 years later, it’s still one of my favorite films (animated or not) EVER. I also love the music from Disney films and I still listen to soundtracks of my faves often. Needless to say, the entire discography from Lion King gives me tea for my fever!

The cast of Lion King Australia was going from Brisbane to Sydney on Virgin Australia when they bust out singing the “Circle of Life” before the flight took off. I am now jealous of everyone who was on that plane because that is so dope. I woulda been too giddy to do anything else but grin the entire plane. Watch below and get your life!

I LOVE IT SO MUCH I WANNA SQUEAL!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!! It’s awesome watching folk doing what they love. And it’s even MORE awesome for me to watch folks doing what *I* love. Wait… wut?

BEST. FLIGHT. EVER.

Excuse me as I go watch this over and over again.

This reminds me: I need to go watch Lion King on Broadway. I cannot believe that I haven’t seen it yet. UGH. This must change ASAPTUALLY.

Did y’all get your lives with this?

(Bust out singing) HE LIVES IN YOU… HE LIVES IN ME. HE WATCHES OVER – EVERYTHING WE SEE.

As a woman who squeals often when excited, I agree and will squeal with you! I WOULD HAVE BEEN SO EXCITED ON THIS FLIGHT! MY CHEEKS WOULD HAVE BEEN HURTING FROM THE JOY I WAS EXPRESSING!

Also, you just reminded me that my mom bought us tickets to see the show in Atlanta this month. I HAD FORGOT! She’s been before (in Vegas) but this is my first time. *squeals and screams on repeat*

Listen, when Scar…did what he did…i made a struggle cry face that my kids side eyed the hell out of. Seeing it LIVE is different from watching him murk Mufasa on screen. All the feels. ALL OF THEM. That is the most beautiful thing i’ve ever watched and I wanted to stand up and clap after every damn scene lol

OK seriously, if this ever happened to me I would cry like a baby and wouldn’t even be mad about it, give them a standing ovation and request “Shadow Land” as an encore. Beautiful!

I saw it many years ago in Toronto. It was beyond great. I am sure that someone complained to the airline. Probably the same folks that critique Honest Toddlers page.

Oh Luvvie, you MUST, HAVE TO GO SEE THE LION KING!! I saw it in St. Louis. We were sitting so close that I could see the sweat on Mufasa’s strongly muscled chest. *fans self* It is simply AMAZING in person. Can’t wait to read your posting after you see it!

I loved how into it they were! The guys in the front were jammin!!!! The Broadway show is a beautiful experience!

LOOOOOOOOVE THIS! Looks like it started with the two dudes in the front. The guy in the plaid seemed to be practicing with the guy in the gray. It’s like when you hear you BFF singing a song from your childhood and you join in then befoe you know it errrrr-body is singing along. Except this time it was people who could SANG IT!

Luvvie you must see the B’way show. Pay for the close up on the floor seats. But I will say I saw it twice years apart first time floor seats second time super cheap balcony seats and the overhead view is just as great.

Lion King is the BEST, and this is the BEST number in it. Love hearing these beautiful young people sing it, right there in the middle of everything.

GO SEE IT, Luvvie! Like Lenore said, pay $$$ and get good seats. And in Circle of Life, when the house lights come up a little, start looking behind you… it’ll make you cry so hard with joy!

    Luvvie!

That was awesome!!!!! I listen to those beautiful young voices and they touched my very soul……so much so I had to go find the lyrics to The Circle Of Life…..then went to youtube for Elton John’s version and have been crying like a baby for the past hour! I especially love the phrase: some of fall by the wayside and some of us soar to the stars…..and some of us sail through our troubles …..and some have to live with the scars! Just WOW!

I’ve been following you for quite sometime and your blogs, FB, IG, Scandal recaps – (I’m not on twitter but if I were, I would surely follow your tweets!) – I consume religiously and ravenously like it’s my only form of sustenance. Never before have I been inclined to comment on one of your posts until now. I feel like we are related somehow. I’ve never met anyone who shares my love of Disney movies (I’m nearly 40 years old btw) and foolery like you do. This post- the video made the hair stand up on the back of my neck & gave me LIFE!!! I got chills every single time I watched it! Thanks for sharing this, thanks for all that you do. You are an inspiration to many globally and I wish you tremendous success with all that you do, especially your Red Pump project. Oh, and one more thing… I’ve had to stop reading your posts at work because one time, my co-workers came in my office because I was laughing so hard they though I was choking and almost called 911. Thanks for keeping me cackling on the regular!

I’m a little behind…but this so great! I am grinning like a little kid. When The Lion King was in Chicago, we took my nephews to see it. The little one fell asleep near the end. My sister and her family were in the garage elevator with this familiar looking man
Man: “How did you like the show?”
Sister “We loved it! Except Matthew here fell asleep at the end”
Man “Oh did you miss Scar’s big death scene”
Matthew nods (way to shy to say words)
Man IS SCAR ACTOR AND DOES THE WHOLE YELLING WHILE FALLING SCENE IN THE ELEVATOR.

Apparently The Lion King only casts AWESOME ACTORS!
