This episode is special, because typically I do feel goods, rants, a spotlight and then I go into my interview. On this episode, I decided to just bring you the interview, because this is the longest interview that I’ve ever done on this podcast, clocking in at an hour and a half long. Why did it become this long? Because I’m talking to Rich Dennis, the CEO of Shea Moisture, and the owner of Essence Magazine. He also runs the New Voices Fund.

My Guest: Rich Dennis

This week, my guest is Rich Dennis. Born in Liberia, Sundial Brand CEO Rich Dennis came to the US to attend Babson College for Business School. And when he graduated in ’91, he was unable to return to Liberia because of the civil war.

In this episode, we are going deep into discussing investing in entrepreneurs, starting a business and building it from the ground up, and the deep, dark world of growing pains.
